أعربت الهيئة الوطنية للمحامين عن إدانتها للتراجع في وضع الحريات بالبلاد “التي تتألم تحت وطأة المرسوم 54 وتفاقم الاعتقالات والإحالات التي تطال عددا من المحامين والفاعلين السياسيين والنشطاء، والتي أصبحت تمثيلًا لكبت حرية التعبير ومصادرة الرأي المعارض.
طالب البيان بضرورة الإفراج الفوري عن المعتقلين احترامًا لمبدأ براءة المتهم والحق في محاكمة عادلة ضمن إطار زمني مقبول “كما أدان البيان ضعف إدارة المرفق القضائي الذي ابتلي بالعشوائية وسط استشراء أجواء الخوف والتهديد وتكرار إصدار مذكرات العمل في انتهاك صارخ للقانون.”
